Now let me first specificy, there is a huge difference between a movie geek and the characters we are going to include in this on-going feature. We throw the term "movie geek" around here quite a bit, because it's fitting. And we use it toward the right people. It's a term of endearment. We all fit that bill and we like and appreciate others who fit that description.

Movie geeks like movies. Movies geeks know a lot about movies. Movie geeks can talk about movies at length. The difference between them and the movie freaks is, movie geeks can conduct themselves as normal humans. Movie geeks can go out into the world, and you may never even know they are a movie geek. Assuming they don't wear their Star Wars or Ghostbusters t-shirt that day, they cannot be spotted by regular humans. By all appearances, they are a "normal person". You can even strike up a conversation with them and assuming you don't say something like, "How 'bout them Watchmen?" (when they immediately begin to give you facts and opinions galore), but aside from that, if you don't bring it up.
They can talk to you in a normal fashion, and you'd never be the wiser.

Movie Freaks on the other hand... are a complete and utter mess. They are quite obviously, "not right" from the moment you lay eyes on them. Whether they are advertising a movie on their person or not. Even at first glance, you know they "aren't right". And if you make the mistake to talk to them, oh man, you are screwed. You will hear a barrage of craziness and weirdness that you may never escape from. All the polite nodding and curtousy laughs will more than likely not save you. You may just have to make a mad dash for the door to have any chance of escape.

And yes there are many "weirdos" out there in the world, of all varities. But for some reason, a good percentage of these people are drawn to movies. Like dim-witted moths to a flame, these poor hopeless souls take refuge in the cinema, perhaps because it is their only escape from their sad lives.

So all that having been said, we are going to begin a dossier a collection, if you will, on these movie freaks,
creating our own little: Movie Fan Freakshow.
